Dehumidifier not draining through hose.
Dehumidifier is about five years old, has always worked fine but now it drains into the bucket instead of hose. I checked the hose, no restrictions. Any ideas?

Blow through the hose to make sure it is clear. Then look inside the bucket to make sure the outlet to the hose is not obstructed. Also make sure that the hose is not pinched or kiniked and that it slopes downhill the whole way.

Agree with PD. Spider love to build webs inside those hoses and they are surprising effective at blocking the water flow.

Gunk in dehumidifier
The other solutions, such as leveling are essential, but in my case over a few years, gunk had grown in the dehumidifier. I had to remove the tubing that goes from the plastic drain pan pipe to the hose connection at the drain pan. I then poked a pipe cleaner into the pipe. A small gusher of water with some of the gunk indicated that I had broken through a dam - likely caused by the growth of algae on the plastic drain pan of the dehumidifier. I reinstalled the tubing and tightened it onto drain pan with a small pipe clamp. The dehumidifier is now draining through the hose.
I'll add that I'm no expert at this - this was just my own experience and it may not work for you.

Most dehumidifiers use a garden hose connection, just hook it up to a house spigot and blast it clean!
