humidifier compressor kicks in and gets very warm, the coils gets slightly cool

I have a portable 70-pint, dehumidifier. The compressor kicks in and gets very warm, the condenser coils gets slightly cool but not cool enough. The fan is working fine.
Is there anything I can test or fix to get this working again?

The air intake filter is clean. I removed the air intake filter and removed the outside panels to check things.

Sounds like your dehumidifier is losing its refrigerant.
Usually the point of loss is the evaporator coil and is almost impossible to fix.

Thanks, I thought it might be losing refrigerant because the evaporator coil is getting slightly cool and the various parts seem to be working properly. Oh, well, I will buy a new one.
