generalaire mhx3 to new gfx3 wiring help

I want to replace existing generalaire mhx3 to new gfx3 using existing wiring. Can I just use the 2 existing wires from old mhx3 and connect to HUM1 & HUM2? Do I need to use ACL & ACN?

Welcome to the forums.

Yes..... you need to use the AC-L and AC-H terminals. Those are the always live 24vAC needed to keep the humidistat operating. A manual humidistat doesn't need power..... an automatic one does.

HUM1 and HUM2 are just contacts that are closed when humidity is requested.
