What might have left this?

In the attic I noticed what looks to be feces and some little seed type things under some insulation. What might have left this?
Thanks

Look like it might be bat droppings. Bat droppings are not symmetrical, unevenly shaped and rough, as opposed to smooth.

Search bat dropping images and see what you think. I re-read that you found them under insulation so that would be puzzling. Were they under a lot or a little bit of insulation? Could still be mouse droppings.

It looks like you posted 3/23/18 but I didn't see it until today for some reason.

How big are they ?

Mce and Rats look the same except for size . . . . and one additional difference: I've been told that Rats can exercise control over when and where they defecate while Mice cannot, and those, Mice are randomly dropping their scat "on the go" and wherever they go !

Regardless, you don't seem to have an active infestation or do you think these just appeared ?

I just looked at images of "flying squirrel fecal droppings". I see similarities; see what you think.
