I love the stuff and anytime I redo a room or have a wall cavity open I replace the fiberglass with Roxul.

So I am ONLY comparing this to fiberglass in my personal experience in a perpetual remodel. Spray foam and new construction would warrant other points that I've never dealt with personally.

Easy to cut, no stapling, stays in the cavity by itself, easy to work around boxes, don't need to worry about compressing it and losing effectiveness, dries out after wet and doesn't lose effectiveness (read this somewhere but can't recall where), can get a higher r value in the same thickness than fiberglass, good soundproofing, not [as] itchy

Cons - more expensive than batts or rolls. Need to install a plastic vapor barrier separately, if required in your area.

Thanks You confirmed my thoughts on the extra expense. My past experience was how easy it was to install!!
And the less itchy feeling!

IMO, the con of being more expensive is far exceeded by the benefit over fiberglass.
