Insulate around baseboard hotwater pipes?
I'm looking to properly and safely insulate around baseboard heaters. I'd rather not use spray foam with concerns of off-gasing when the pipes heat up.
I have a wall that 2 pipes run through, what should I use for that? I don't want the fiberglass to melt if it's in contact with it.
I also have some gaps coming up through the floor, I want to stop drafts, what's the best way to fill those in?

Sorry- can't edit the first post now.

Two scenarios:
1) Basement: From unfinished area pipes run from furnace to a finished room in the basement. There's a very small opening for the copper pipes to run through to that room, I want to insulate that without spray foam.
2) From basement to living room, there's a small opening in the floor for the baseboard hot water pipes. I want to insulate that as well.
