Is this a weed or just different type of grass?
I'm in CT, 06611, and generally have a mix of bluegrass, ryegrass and fescue (I believe). Not sure if this is a weed or some other kind of grass. Also, it's only popping up in some bad/patchy areas.

So this stuff is now popping up like crazy (was just a little bit when I posted the other day). Below are some more detailed pics. Sedge, quack grass, something else? Thanks again!

Just looks like crabgrass in your closeups. Compare the pics at:

Any chance it could be stiltgrass rather than quack or crab?
I guess I should just pull some and bring it to local garden center...
