Backflow preventer gasket leaking
Hello all,
I have a slight leak (several drops per minute) from my backflow preventer on an outdoor irrigation system. Does anyone know if I can use RTV to create a new seal, similar to what you might do on a differential or other automotive applications?
Thanks in advance!

Is this the style you have?

If so, you probably just need to get new gaskets. If it's the o-ring leaking, you might shred it when you take it apart. You can't make a o-ring out of rtv.
