How to raise cut on mower

Moved to Tampa and doing lawn myself . Bought a new Yard Machine 21' self propelled mower , and have it on the highest setting . Still seems to cut a bit lower than i would like . It says cuts to 3.75 inches , but its really lower than that . Whats a good simple way to increase height ? Bigger wheels all around ?

Yes, I think larger diameter wheels would be the easiest way to raise the cutting height even higher.

Bigger wheels are probably your only hope. Depending on the design of the self propel drive, you may not be able to swap out the driven wheel(s) as it/they may have teeth molded into the wheel. If not, they will be keyed to the shaft which would have to be duplicated on the new wheels.

If you can't swap the wheels, another option may be to glue strips of rubber or the like to the existing wheels to increase their diameter. Might be hard to get it to stay put, however.

Any increase in wheel diameter will also increase the travel speed of the mower.

After all that , I found the height adjustment for the rear wheels . Who needs instruction manuals anyway ? I have lots of cool power tools .
