Mowing/trimming around mulch areas

Kind of a dumb question. Our yard has a lot of areas where the grass is adjacent to mulched areas. What's the best way to mow and trim around those? If I get too close to the landscaping, a lot of the mulch gets caught in the blade...and if I stay farther away the blade misses a section of grass and I end having to trim around the entire perimeter. Any tips? Link to photo below...

Unless you put in some type of barrier between the grass and the mulch it's going to be an ongoing issue. Personally I'd do what I have to mow all the grass and replace the mulch when needed.

I spray so the grass stops several inches from the mulch.
