My guess would be that it's some type of bermuda grass. There are dozens if varieties, so there's no way to know what it is without analyzing it closer.

I was thinking maybe Bahia. Have you asked your neighbors? Often most everyone in a neighborhood will have the same type of grass ..... especially if the same builder/landscaper was used.

A neighbor said Zoysia. I assumed Burmuda. I subscribe to Scotts Lawn Care Plan and really only need to know for fertizers/chemicals/ect.
