The numbers seem all over the place. I need to resod my backyard. I am having trouble finding help, and I am thinking worst case scenario, if I did it myself, can i get it done in two days? What if I at least had one helper, then how long?
I have a double gate fence, about 9ft wide, so i can have the pallots dropped spread out in the area where sod is needed.

With the quotes for install I have gotten, that will be my motivation to push through it. Two 10hr days I can handle. I think anything more I would just hope with cooler weather I could spread out to a third day without jeopardizing the sod rolls.

My son and I just layed 200 yards at the entrance to our sub and we only had to move the sod from the trailer to the bare spot and that took us about an hour total.
Laying the sod is easy, having all the pallets in the right spot is the hard part so you dont have to move it!
7500 sq ft is only 833 sq yards, when I did my front yard 10 years ago I put down 1000 yards and that took most of the day!

@Marq Thank you. I feel I can handle it, but having never laid sod and having to install right away, I dont want to assume anything.
This summer alone, i installed an above ground pool on a slope so had to excavate 2ft down on the high side, with bobcat thankfully.. but, i put up a retaining wall and pick axed in clay an additional foot down for base, widened the pool hole for wall, shoveled and wheel barrowed 10 tons of rock, dug a 100ft trench for french drain, relocated a few tons of excavated dirt using wheel barrow.
So physical exertion i can handle thankfully..

If I were doing it for myself, I would break it up into 2 or 3 weekends, and proceed in a leisurely manner.
And if I were working for someone else, it would depend a lot on how much they were paying me, and how nice and tight they expected those rolls to be positioned.

@Vermont, im getting paid a lot doing iy myself lol. I was quoted $5600 just for labor to install the sod. That's after i said i am prepping the yard for the sod, and purchasing the sod. Im in the wrong business.

Are we talking 7500 sq yards or 7500 sq ft (833 sq yards)??
