Leaking sprinkler head

We have a 4 zone toro system. Everything works fine but zone 4 leaks out of the heads forever. Yesterday I opened all the valves and everything looks fine. Over time I have replaced many heads with RainBird SAM heads,, but that is getting expensive. New valves / new solenoids - still leaks. What next ? Thanks.

Most likely dirt in seals of valve. Take top off and clean. If valve body is scored than valve will have to be replaced.

If there is no dirt inside the valve I would first try replacing the diaphragm. While you have the valve body opened run your finger around the surfaces where the diaphragm touches feeling for the scoring/scratching that pugsl mentioned. If it feels smooth I would would just try a new diaphragm but if you feel that the body has been eroded/scored away then it will need to be replaced.
