Spraying for Chiggers

I am using a hose end sprayer to spray for chiggers. The dilution ratio is 3 oz per gallon. for 500 sq ft of coverage. At this rate I use up the 3 oz before I can get 500 sq ft. sprayed. Should I change the dilution ratio to 3 oz per 3 gallons for 500 sq ft of coverage? Seems I would also get better ground penetration of the spray.

So three ounces of poison is supposed to cover 500 square feet and use 1 gallon of water? But you're not getting all 500 feet before you're out of poison? If yes to both, sounds like you need to walk faster.

Stay with the application rate on the product package. You either need to turn down the rate on your sprayer or move faster so you can cover the 500 feet before the product runs out.
