Speckled Alder tree (shrub or brush).
Hello All,
I live in Nova Scotia and have a lot of wild Alder shrubs growing close to my house. Some are as high as 8 feet high, they have multiple trunks originating from the base and the trunk thickness at the base is around 1 to 1.5 inches diameter..
Although these shrubs/trees are approx 8 to 10 feet from my house, does this type of growth have a root system that may be potentially dangerous to house foundations etc etc...
Thanking everyone in advance.

I wouldn't expect harm if they are that far from the house and if they are kept to that size.
