Grass seed for wet shady area
I have a small pasture that gets brush hogged about once a month. I have some spots that the grass won't grow in because of the shade and moisture. Anyone have any ideas

Regardless what type of seed is used (shade/sun) grass still needs some sun. If the area is dense shade then it's going to struggle.
Same with water, a good thing until there is too much so getting it drain correctly is going to be needed!

Do you have animals in the pasture? Are they the reason you don't have grass in that area?
Some varieties can tolerate (but not thrive) shade better but at heart all turf grasses are full sun plants. If you don't have grasses growing in a shady, wet area then I wouldn't bother with seed as Mother Nature is pretty good at putting a plant anywhere it's capable of growing. But... you can try. It's only grass seed so you won't be out too much money.

You could thin out some of the tree branches to allow some sunlight under the trees. Grass needs sunlight.
