LED lights won't work with motion sensor
I recently switched out my incandesent garage lights to 30 W LED flood lights. (2) I reused the existing bulb sockets and used a screw in recepticle with a 3 prong adapter plug. My incandesents were controlled by a motion sensor switch.
Now the LED's will not work properly. Sometimes they will dim 50% but not shut off. I can shut them off manually but the sensor switch will not control them.

Don't quite follow what you mean by using screw in receptacle with 3 prong adapter, can you post a picture?
A lot of older motion sensors, dusk to dawn, and timer switches depend on having at least a certain amount of load on them to work, because they pass a small amount of current even when the load is supposed to be off. This was no problem for incandescents but causes LED's to glow or misbehave.
You need a motion sensor that states it is compatible with LED lights.

I believe CT is correct about a motion sensor or dusk to dawn sensor must be specific to an LED bulb. Look at the ballast on the bulb base. It most likely say not to be used with dimmer. And I think you can consider sensors to be similar to dimmers.
