Installing pendant light in ceiling junction box
I have a pendant light, originally designed for a normal AC outlet, that I'd like to install to a ceiling junction box. I cut/stripped the wire for the light and now I need to attach the hot/neutral wires, but I'm a bit confused over what the wires in the box are. The are three wires in the box as shown in the following picture:

There is a red wire and white wire that run through (never been cut) and a yellow wire with a wire nut, but underneath the nut the wire actually hasn't been stripped. The building I'm in is a condo from 2008 and I'm guessing the previous owners just never installed any ceiling fixture here. Can anyone help elucidate which of these wires is hot, neutral, and ground? And is it ok that I'm using a light designed for a 120V AC outlet?
Thanks!

Welcome to the forums.
The white wire is neutral. Turn the circuit off. Cut the wire and it becomes the neutral splice. The yellow is the switched hot wire.
The problem with hanging a fixture not intended to be hung is you can't suspend it from the power wire.
