Can light for porch ceiling

I have 5 recessed ceiling light and set out to retrofit with LED light....4 which were successful and easy to do. Upon removing the 5th trim piece from the old can I discovered that one of the 2 wires to the socket was broken off. I tried to remove the old can but cannot get it down. My question is do i have to remove the can and replace it or is there something else that I can do? I believe that I can access above that ceiling by removing an adjacent piece of ceiling. I've included 2 pics. The can that is up there is 25+ years old.Thanks...LarryC

Those look like retro fit cans and should remove, although with all the rust it may be difficult. Push up on the inner can to expose 4 black clips. You will push up on the clip detent with a screwdriver to release them. They will fold inside the can and it should fall from the ceiling. Replace them with the same size retro cans and you should be in good shape.
