Changing a bulb in a flush mount fixture

How many people does it take to change a light bulb in a flush mounted fixture? Well, more than one for sure. Would appreciate some help. Picture attached.

It appears to me that the glass is attached to the piece above. My guess is to use a screwdriver and pry the fixture off the ceiling (I am assuming springs hold it up), but am afraid to break it. When I try to turn it, it only turns very little.

Thanks in advance!

Usually you grab the glass globe and turn it a little counterclockwise and then the glass will drop straight down. The rest of the fixture stays in place.

You may need to lift slightly while turning the glass.

Thanks for the replies. I tried both suggestions without results, as the glass is attached to the bezel above.

Yes... the glass is attached to the bezel.... but not permanently. It's more than likely tight from age. I use gloves with rubber dots on them to grip the glass.

Here's a video with another removal idea... you tube/watch?v=vXHylBQzrIs

You can get auto dent pullers that are no more then a suction cup. Haven't tried it but that may be another way. Example: 2016 Hot Sell Small Dent Repair Puller Lifter Screen Open Tool Glass Car Suction Sucker Free Ship From Xiaofeileo520, $2.88 | Dhgate.Com
