courtesy light in car

hey everyone,
recently I decided to change all my lights in the car to white LED and I have in my car Chrysler 200S 2016 two courtesy lights 1" diameter in the back with yellow led light and I couldn't find anywhere a replacement for it so I was wondering if there is an option to just buy white led and just solder it on the existing lights instead of the old ones and I wanted to see if anyone knows if it will work or if they had a similar experience in it, thank you!

Welcome to the forums.

If you use raw LED's..... you need to use a dropping resistor for 12v use.
What is the part number on that bulb ?
As far as I know.... every bulb has an LED equivalent now.

Oh, there would be plenty of white replacements for that. Cheap also...like $.30 each + shipping. It's probably got all the circuitry necessary on the board so a simple swap would do it once you know size and style. Do you know how to solder and unsolder surface mount devices? If not, this isn't a good place to learn.

edit: Sorry I see you want white... IMO leave well enough alone....

I can solder no problem I was just worried if needed anything else and all those kits online are for the regular 200 which has dome light and mine the 200S has moonroof so there are two courtesy lights instead of the dome and no one seems to provide that.
what is the name for the LED just the component, and how can i determine the strength that this circuit can hold (lumens)
thanks you
