Replacing ceiling fan with light fixture with no instructions in box

Hello,

I'd really appreciate any help that I can get on this. My new light fixture just arrived from amazon and it has no instructions and I'm not sure what to do with all the pieces. I've changed lights before and it was pretty straight forward.

I usually turn off the breaker, and connect white to white, black to black, red to red, and copper to copper.

But my new light fixture has 2 black labeled "N" (which strangely seems to stand for neutral) and 2 white labeled "L" (which strangely seems to be for live) as well as a mysterious detached 6" piece of copper wire with a flat copper ring at one end. This wire seems to be for grounding, but I'm not sure how to attach it to the light fixture itself. I'm also not 100% sure the purpose is for grounding. Also there's a mysterious tiny spring included.

My metal ceiling box, which used to connect to a ceiling fan, has a copper wire hooked into the very back. It also has 3 black wires, 1 red wire, and 2 white wires.

I can guess what to do, but I thought that would be dangerous, especially because I'm confused about how to attach the free copper wire to the light fixture, and because its black and white wires are labeled with stickers the opposite as usual, N and L respectively.

I could ignore the stickers, and attach one fixture black to one box red, the other fixture black to the three box blacks, and each fixture white to each box white. But I still don't know how to attach the free copper. Has anyone every seen this before? Also, I'm not sure if it's recommended to attach one fixture black to as many as 3 box blacks.

I would really appreciate any help with this!

Thanks,

Sorry, just an update. I noticed the ceiling box actually has 3 white and 2 black.

So I'm just not sure how to attach group A to group B.

Group A - the ceiling box
3 white
2 black
1 red
1 copper hooked onto the box

Group B - the light fixture
2 white labeled L
2 black labeled N
1 free 6" copper wire with a flat ring at one end

Thanks!

Vicky

That fixture was probably made to be sold overseas. Amazon and Ikea are famous for selling lights here that were not meant to be sold here. In some countries.... white is hot and black is neutral.

We'd need to see a picture of the sockets where those wires connect. To possibly see wire connections and where to put the ground wire.

At the ceiling you will using the white splice as N and the red wire as L.
