fan with remote and dimmer switch

So I installed a stile fan/light and it was working perfect for me. The problem is the dimmer switch wont run the light or fan. the unit will only work via remote. I'm wondering if I can connect the red wire to the Blue light wire coming from the unit before it goes to the antenna.i'm assuming this will not allow the remote to run the light and only the fan I'm fine with the light coming on with the switch and not remote. The old unit would turn the light on/off from pull switch and dimmer switch. while the fan was pull switch only

Welcome to the forums.

Regular wall dimmers can't be used for a fan. It can be used for the light part.
You can connect the blue fan light to the red wire if the red wire is the one that is on the dimmer. Don't connect the blue to the remote and the wall dimmer..... one or the other.
