Antique chandelier install

Two problems I’m facing.

1. I cant find a crossbar with a centre threaded hole that matches the size of the threaded rod on the light.

2: light fixture does not have a ground wire. Safe? Or any modifications to add ground?

Thanks

That's called a fixture bar. They do come in several different thread sizes. You'll only find the most common size (3/8) at the home improvements stores. You'd need to check at a lighting showroom or possibly an electrical supply house.

Many older chandeliers didn't have a ground wire. I consider them perfectly safe.
Is it possible to add one.... probably. Would I..... probably not.

They sell braided wire in the lighting showrooms that runs up the chain next to the power wire. It would need to be attached to the main body of the fixture.

Do you have large hex nuts that fit the threaded rod?

You could get a fixture bar with an unthreaded hole int he middle and use the nuts to hold the threaded rod in place.
