Bathroom ceiling exhaust fan
I have a 4 blade , six inch diameter exhaust fan in my bathroom ceiling that started screeching to the point where I had to remove it. I was surprised to find the motor and fan were actually fairly easy to remove. There was a short wire with an AC male plug attached the motor, and the plug went into a small AC female plug inside the fan housing. I loosened two screws and twisted the fan an inch or so, and it dropped out of the case mounted in the ceiling. It had no name or numbers on it, so I am wondering where to look for a replacement? The house was built in 1963 and it looks original.

That could be a Nutone or Broan unit. Both used removable motors with a plug like that. Several links below. I see tru-value and ace listed so you may want to try a local hardware. With no part numbers you'll have to match by sight.
