Motion detector security light
My old fixture was 22’ up by my roof line and worked perfectly. The minute you were by my front door the flood lights came on. It finally quit after 15 years. I just purchased a fancy led Bluetooth connected fixture and it won’t pick up motion at my front door. It needs to be hung at the 8’ height. My question is are there any security motion detector lights that can be installed up high? Seems like all the new fixtures can’t handle the distance. Is my only option to have a security light installed lower?

Welcome to the forums.
I use Rab fixtures and controls for all my outdoor lighting. They pick up from great distances.
