Motion switches
I want to put a motion switch in a small (less than 8ft) walk through laundry room. There are two 3 way switches now. They are wired with red, black, and white and a ground. Can I just cap off the red wire and wire the fixture to its black and white? Thanks, Rich

Welcome to the forums.
You could use a motion sensor at one end but the other switch would need to be disconnected if you weren't using a 3w sensor. You can't just connect to black and white. There are travelers here to be considered.
