Creating 3-way with smart switches?
Hi,
I have a single pole light switch I would love to turn into a three way. There is no easy way to re-wire for it and I wonder if there are way to use smart switches (Wemo and the likes) to have another light switch partner/control the one installed in the single pole from a spot where I have a non-functional light switch (unrelated - just a place to install a second light switch). While it sounds logical to me - all the companies tell me to use a smart phone. This won't be a good solution for my scenario.
Thank you.

Welcome to the forums.
One line I use all the time is Lutron Caseta. You can replace the single pole switch with a Caseta switch or dimmer. Be advised..... a neutral will be required for any wireless type of switch. Then it gets paired with a Pico remote. Either switch comes with a remote in the kit. You can attach the Pico remote to the wall with the optional wall plate so that it looks just like a wired switch. The link shows the dimmer kit on amazon. Depot has them for a little less.
The dimmer is three buttons while the basic switch is two button.
