Velcro closure on back brace worn out - all the back braces are velcro secured

The strap that secures the back brace around the front attaches via velcro.
Many uses and on/offs later and the velcro has lost its' effectiveness.
I looked at other back braces but none of them are the snap-together style, they're all velcro.
I know there are velcro kits at HD but I don't have a sewing machine and I really don't feel like sewing them on by hand.
Anyone found a way to secure their back brace not using velcro?

You could try going to a cleaners or shoe repair shop. Either one could sew on some new velcro for you. Shouldn't cost a fortune.

A good cleaning might help also. I think my wife used a brush on mine which helped to rejuvenate the velcro.
