Huskee riding mower help :(
Just bought this mower used but looked in great shape. It's a 2004 huskee 26 hp 54" deck riding mower. I don't know the model # at this time sorry. Go to mow with it for the first time don't even get the yard done and the pto disengages for no know reason. Shut off mower and now it won't restart. All is does is make 1 single click nose. Noise appears to be coming from when the engine tries (engine is not seized) but down at the pulley under the ending there is a piece sticking out (sorry don't know what it's called) that hits a metal bar Idk if it's supposed to or not. Any help would be great. Right now I feel like I've wasted $$$

Sorry for your troubles there. Did you try contacting the seller for assistance ?
A model number should be on a metal ID tag somewhere on unit.

With that little info it be lots of things.
As far as not starting:
Dead battery= try charging it
Loose or dirty battery, or starter cables= remove and clean
Shifter not in neutral, PTO not disengaged
Bad seat, shifter, or any other safety switch
Low or no oil in the engine.

Model and engine info is indeed helpful.
Other wise I have to assume that you have an electric PTO which may have disengaged due to low battery or charging voltage. Charge the battery and see if all returns to functional, if so, you will need to check the charging system. You will need a simple volt meter to do this.
The piece underneath is likely normal as it keeps the pto from spinning with the engine.

Again I am assuming it is Huskee IE: MTD and not Husqvarna IE: AYP, in either case with the issue mentioned there is little if any difference.
