riding mower will not sart

I have a Crafts riding mower, 54", Kohler engine, model 917.288611. New plugs, air filter, fresh gas, gas filter and new battery.

Ok.... You've got to give us something to work with. So what's it doing? Does the starter work and the engine turns over when you turn the ignition key? Does it sputter or pop like it's trying to start? When was the last time it ran? What did it do when it stopped running?

Craftsman Kohler 26 HP engine starts but dies as soon as the start switch not on

My Mower is starting but as soon as I let go of the start key it dies. If I hold the key on the engine stays running but we all know you cant do that. Any thoughts?

Hi folks; Guess I am getting the CRS syndrome. Took my Toro model 20329 21 in. recycler mower carb off for a part fix. While putting it back on I seem to have forgotten where one long spring attaches to.:wall: Anyone have a diagram of the linkages and springs attachments for this model? I would also want to make sure that the throttle rod (which I believe is the long one and formed in some strange angles) is attached right.. The serial number of this is 2005*** Any help appreciated. BTW; with the way I have it assembled now it will start but only goes very fast or stop. Sort of like some people I know.
