13hp Tecumseh engine won't start
Ok so let's start this and see what happens. I have a 13hp Tecumseh engine on a yard master riding lawn mower. The engine will not start so I checked the obvious, I have fuel to the carburetor, and I have spark. If I spray starting fluid in the air cleaner it will start right away and run until the fluid burns off. So I thought I may have a carb problem, so I replaced the carburetor. Still same problem exists. So I am stumped it's as if the fuel isn't going through the carb to the spark plug??? Please help. I will post video if needed.

Is the carburetor new, or one off another engine?
I think if it were a choke issue, it would continue to run once it started off of juice. !

Clean the bowl nut, the idle circuit is clogged, it's the tiny hole near the top, almost invisible. Refer to the pic below as an example. Have a good one. Geo

Geo is on it, if that's the type carb you have. I'm thinking being a 13hp it may have the one with the plastic bowl. That's why we need an engine model or some other information to go on.

You may have a bad fuel pump if the fuel tank is at or below the level of the carb float bowl.
