Oil discoloration of dipstick.
Anybody ever see this happen before? The dipstick from snow blower has a permanent stain from the oil. The oil itself although is a year old, it's clean and clear. I never saw this take place in all the years I've changed oil. Always used the same oil, standard 5W-30.
And no, this was not blackened from the factory. It's always been silver colored. As always I stored the blower over the summer with the oil from the previous season still in the crankcase.

Doesn't really mean anything. There's impurities in the oil from combustion blowby. It would collect on the dipstick. Today's fuels with the ethanol and non ethanol with short shelf life have varnish in them. All that would contribute.
