Hanging gas powered equipment?

I've got maybe about 6 different gas powered hedge trimmers, weeders, chainsaws and want to hang them on the side of my shed but wonder if there is a certain or best way to hang them, level(horizontal to the ground) or up & down? I guess my main concern is if they will leak or do something else that is bad. Some are 2-cycle and some are 4-cycle if that matters.

How long will you be leaving them on the wall? If it's more than a month or two removing all the gas and running all the fuel out is important to prevent it from gumming up the carburetor. Other than that I leave tools with the carburetor facing up so fuel can't leak out.

No telling how long, I use each one all summer long and some even through the winter. OK though, I'll see what I can do to keep everything upright. BTW, ever since I switched to the non ethanol gas with stabil in it I've had no problems with carbs gumming up or not being able to start. Before that I had all kinds of problems.

Thanks for the replies!
