How to remove stuck washer?

Post #5 in the link, the third photo

The washer inside the cap is stuck in there, kinda off kilter. I tried tapping on higher side to try even it out but it won't give. I replaced the bushings but because of the washers position I cannot get the retainer ring on.

So, how can I get this washer out to correctly reposition it?

You left an incorrect link. I went to the tractor site, found the correct post, copied and posted the third picture in post five here.

In looking at the picture I'm not quite sure what you are asking about.

This can't be the right pic.

Are you speaking of the raised "washer" to the far right or the washer between the arm and plate?

Thanks for correcting the link. In the picture, bottom left of the screen. The wheel slides on that axle and the hub goes into that little cap. I think it's like a dust The washer is in that cap but it is not sitting flush, so the clearance is uneven and I can get the retaining clip to slide into its grovove to secure the wheel.

Use a socket (a deep well socket if necessary) that is large enough to fit over the axle but smaller than the diameter of the washer & tap the socket with a little hammer.

If axle is to deep for a socket go to hardware store and get a pipe nipple that just fits over the shaft and tap on that.
