Gasoline-Seasonal

Since there are lots of issues concerning fuel on these forums, I though I would attempt to share some tech info that Briggs provides for us Tech's.

If you have a viewer that can run this clip, it is pretty interesting.

Great video. Especially like the balloon demo.
Also, a gas stabilizer will not resolve a summer/winter gasoline problem.

Thanks for posting that! I finally understand the difference between summer blend & winter blend--which is a big deal here in Michigan.

The video raises a question (several actually) for me: For the example of a snow blower serviced in the fall at 70 degrees (or I suppose any heated shop)--are the adjustments made at that time going to be correct for operating in 10° temperatures when the air is much more dense?

Unless you have equipment 30-40 yrs old, there are no adjustments that concern fuel.

I guess guy48065 if you are talking two stroke that might still have full adjustments, then yes, it should be fine tuned for current conditions: Altitude, humidity, temperature, will affect the mixture. Many of these any more are also fixed or restricted and require special tools available only to authorized service dealers.

Most of my equipment IS old but for the new-ish stuff I certainly won't let a "special tool" stop me.
