Troy built riding mower
I have a Troybuit riding mower with a Briggs and Stratton 17.5 hp.Modle#31D707 Type 0232E1.my yard has a slope on it and when I go to the left with the mower leaning towards the left.It will blow a big white puff of smoke out .Would you have any clue what this would be.

Check your oil level, sounds like depending on how far it leans, the carb is on the left side of the engine on these (Intek?) It might be sucking a bit into the carb.
Is it just a puff and gone or does it continue?
Also these engines have a weak spot in the head gasket that could be getting through in to the intake.

If it only does it at this spot, I would say it's normal and the oil is getting high enough in that spot to blow through the breather or even the side of the piston.

It's a long shot; but if your DipStick has a Part Number on it, I'd just check it to verify that it matches what is supposed to be used with that engine.
My Mechanic scratched his head for over a year with a Customer who had a similar problem . . . . and it turned out that Briggs (or someone else along the line) had installed the wrong DipStick, and the Customer had been slightly over filling the crankcase for years.
The problem only made itself evident when he was mowing an area similar to what was earlier described by this thread's OP.
