Briggs camshaft
I have a newer Briggs one cyl that the de compression lever broke. I read that this is common. I tried an older cam with the solid gear but after assembly the motor wouldn't turn over. Has anyone made this switch successfully? I don't want to replace with a known bad cam arraignment.

Never heard of anyone doing it. When these first came out, I tried the swap and realized the dimensions were different, so I put what's supposed to be there in it and have ever since.
