Pressure Washer no pressure

I have a Model CH2403 S/N 227629 Chore Master pressure washer. It is made by Mite T M. I went to use it and it has no pressure. When I put it away for the winter I did my usual maintenance of pumping B&S pump saver through it. I have cleaned all the screen filters on the pump. I can move the unloader valve in and out with my hand. I really think this is the problem however I do not know much about power washer pumps. I removed what I thought was the unloader valve, cleaned it and lubed it. It just doesnt seem like it is going from low pressure to high pressure. Is it possible for the ball to be stuck in its seat. This has been a really good pump over the last 10 years and I just hate to throw away the pump and put a new one on.

 

10 years for a residential power washer is pretty good, I just replaced the pump on my 14 year Troy Built so I was really on the high side but it got minimal use for many years.

My replacement pump was only $99 so if I get a few more years then I'll be happy and end up selling the motor and get something new!

 

Is that a 2400psi with a vertical shaft motor? Replacement pumps are reasonable for those and I wouldn't put the time (& expense) into rebuilding one.

The pump on my 3200psi washer costs over $300 to replace so I rebuilt it to "save money". Nearly every part I removed had issues and when I was done I had spent at least $300.

 

It has a horizontal briggs motor on it.

Crank it up and turn on the water, then with the trigger pressed on the wand, reach down and manually rev the engine a bit for just a second or two and see if it begins to spray properly. If so, it may resume normal operation after this. If not, you may have to take it apart to find the stuck valve or other problem. Usually it's the unloader or one of the small check valves in the valve body.

 

Cheese - thanks -- removed all the check valves -- they looked ok. Tried your suggestion and could not get any pressure out of it. Looks like I will get a new pump.
