Chain saw not staying running

I have a Pouland PL3314 basic chain saw thats been in box not used for a few years.
This first time i start it up it wont stay running ,even after ive cut wood or let off fuel..
What is possible causing it not to stay in idle ?.
I have to keep fuel going in order to cut.

Any tips on what too look at?

Carburetor. You probably need a richer idle mixture. You could try backing out the idle mixture screw 1/8 turn or so and see if that helps. There are two mixture screws next to each other and the idle one is the one closest to the engine. It probably will require a special tool to turn it. You might be able to push a 14ga wire butt connector on it and use that to turn it.

I have the same saw, it's my favorite; cuts well and is lightweight!
If there was any fuel in it while it was stored I'd vote for a good cleaning of the filter, line and carb.

Looks like these pieces came off..spring an plastic piece .
What does that plastic piece go on .
How should it look fully assembled

Looks like top butterfly has no part controlling it.
