Snapper LT200 what drives it?

Snapper LT200 20HP 42" deck "Hydro-Drive" lawn tractor. Going up hills I get hesitation, the drive wheels seem to shudder, and there's a choppy squealing noise. It sounds kind of like a fan belt slipping.

What should I be checking, or should I be shopping for a new tractor?

Not the mower guy so guessing but there is a belt in there. Sounds like belt slipping and need adjustment or replacement.

I've checked that site and diagram and it's what's throwing me. Don't see a drive belt. Seems like it's missing something.

There is one. It's way up under the frame. I think you just need a new belt... especially if it hasn't ever been replaced.

pugsl posted a link to a diagram above. Does anyone see a belt on it that I'm missing? Or a pulley that would hold a drive belt?
