Tecumseh engine swap won't charge the battery

I swapped out a B&S lawn tractor engine that was broke, with a Tecumseh 10 hp engine. Got it running abut it does not charge the battery. Only has 2 wire from the engine. one red and one green. The green is a kill. The red has only 4 volts on it. model is TVM2220-157081G. Does this engine have a voltage regulator ?
Thanks

Brian

No, not normally anyway. At full throttle you want 15 or close. Check AC voltage and see what it is. You may have a bad stator or magnets loose on the flywheel.

Hi, have you located the wires coming out from under the flywheel?
