Carb springs for Briggs and Stratton 4hp
I have inherited a tiller with a 4hp Briggs and Stratton engine that runs like a dog. I have taken off the air filter and found that the throttle link spring is not connected nor is the governor spring, which is probably part of the problem. The engine model is 100902, type is 0278-01 and code is 6908056. Does any one have a diagram that shows how these springs are connected please, I have the parts list and manual but neither show the spring positions. Any help appreciated

I have found carb springs at both Amazon and E BAY. Youcould post model in search and there are many parts places there.

Thanks both ... I have the springs and looking at the diagrams from geogrubb, my set up looks different in that the controls where the springs may attach sit horizontal to the carb not vertical as shown in the diagrams. Thanks anyway guys for responding , it’s appreciated
here is a PDF of a similar engine layout to mine .... unfortunately the exact list for my engine isn’t available on the B&S site, but the springs and governor are the same. The schematic is page 4 parts 202, 209 and 609
Similar engine to mine
