Painting existing cabinets white, clear coat?

I'm in the process of painting existing cabinets white with Benjamin Moore White Dove latex eggshell finish. For protection which clear coat should I use so it won't yellow? There isn't a lot of sun hitting the cabinets.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forums Stacy!

While oil base whites will yellow - latex whites do not. Generally there is no need to apply a clear coating over enamel. If you want more shine - use a shinier latex enamel. If you insist on using a clear coat use a water based poly, oil base poly will immediately yellow the white and more so as time goes by.
