Cost to do a popcorn ceiling?

What is the typical cost to do a popcorn ceiling by a pro? Room is about 15x20 with an 8 foot ceiling.

Install or remove?

If install, why? Most here are removing them.

Install. Removed an old diy suspended ceiling and many holes and gouges in drywall above it. This would hide the blemishes and looks nice compared to a plain painted ceiling.

Only way to find out your local cost would be to make some calls to drywallers in your area.
Sorry have to agree with stickshift on this one.
Popcorn would be the very last finish I'd want done.
Impossible to clean, major dirt and dust collector.

.... and old unpainted popcorn will deteriorate and come loose when it gets damp - like applying paint.

Popcorn is cheap/easy to apply but requires a lot of coverup to contain the mess.

You don't need a third opinion, but it's free. Popcorn is a "has been" ceiling covering. You may want to repair the holes and boogers and do a knock down ceiling, which would look so much better, then paint it.

Since you are hiring a pro, you don't need a popcorn ceiling.
Generally, a pro could have the ceiling looking like new with any texture desired in about 6 hours. You paint and prime.

A rough estimate would be 275 - 400.
Costs are high around here and I would pay 300 or less.
