How to finish OSB garage interior wall?
The house I've been refurbing has OSB on most of the interior garage walls. I'm thinking paint will not look good, and I don't want to spend the time/effort to sheetrock over it. Ideas?

Some will apply a coat or two of poly over it. IMO painted OSB looks ok although it's best to first apply a coat of oil base primer to seal any tannin bleed before painting it with your choice of latex paint.

Don't know why paint wouldn't look good. It's obviously going to have texture unless you drywall over it. The main thing is having a white wall that reflects light so that it isn't so dark in the garage. I'd use exterior semigloss house paint after you prime it.

My son's garage ceiling is painted OSB and other needing a fresh coat of paint [what's on it has been there for 20+ yrs] it looks ok. I've probably built a 1/2 dozen cheap sheds with painted OSB for the siding. Painted OSB might not look as nice as drywall or plywood but it doesn't look awful.

Personally, I prefer not to finish garage walls as an unfinished wall can stand a ding or three, which happens in a garage, whereas every ding in a finished wall will be an eyesore.

My next garage will be OSB, my current drywalled garage is always in constant repair, not from bumps and bruises but due to the couple hundred signs that are in constant movement!
