Painting laminate kitchen cabinets

Hi. I had someone paint my laminate kitchen cabinets 11 months ago. He used Cabinet Rescue. They are chipping quite a bit. I am so frustrated. I'm thinking something must not have been done in the prep work. I'm also thinking I might need to have the Cabinets refaced. Help. Ty.

What kind of cabinet laminate...... like Formica ? That surface is very hard and shiny to paint.

Ya, knowing what type of laminate will let us know if it's a viable paint substrate.
Assuming it is a paintable laminate I suspect the wrong prep or primer is the problem.

Painting my basement this week and have no idea what brand paint I should get or type like semi flat for walls and seni gloss for trim, gloss for cieling?? l Hope one of the pros here could point me in the right direction. painting over tacky wood finish

Hi all, I'm trying to paint an old wood dresser. I don't know what kind of finish it has on it, but I tried to remove some old tape/sticker residue from the front of several drawers with Goof Off, and the finish sort of melted and became very tacky. Even a couple weeks later it is still somewhat tacky to the touch. Does anyone know if priming over this is okay, or will I need to completely strip it off? TIARead More
