Ceiling Paint Type

we recently scraped popcorn ceilings off in our basement.

Wondering what type of paint we need to use now?

I noticed that some type of paints are labelled as "ceiling paint" but I wanted to check, because I figured that assumed the user might be painting over another layer of paint.

Yes, ceiling paint is just a flat white perfect for ceilings... has good drywall sealing properties. You will likely need 2 coats.

And paint wont hide imperfections.... you usually need to skim ceilings and sand after texture has been removed.

Don't forget to wipe or brush off the sanding dust before you prime the ceiling.
