Bathroom paint issues (pics included)
Hi everyone, the bathroom paint in my bathroom is chipping, peeling, and cracking. There is also some mildew. I know this is the result of our bathroom fan being out of commission for an extended period. I replaced it 2 weeks ago.
My question is how do I get the walls into a state to prime and re-paint? There are some problematic areas where the paint is still very much bonded to the wall. do I use stripper or sand, then prime and paint?
Advice is greatly appreciated.

From the picture it looks like there are areas where the paint, maybe drywall, are chipped and or peeling.
Those are the areas you need to clean out so that they can be repaired, primed and then repaint!

I'd rough sand the bad areas [80 grit] skim over those areas with joint compound as needed, sand level [120 grit] prime and paint. Latex enamel is bare minimum for a bath with shower, a bath rm paint is better. Any sheen is ok.
