Ceiling paint turned to a light gray

I purchased a two gallon ceiling paint and use part and closed it.When I closed it I use a piece of saran wrap and close the container good. I have been using saran wrap to close all paint can. If I open in 6-12 months later, they open very easy and paint is OK to use. About 6 months later I needed some ceiling paint. I painted a little bathroom and did a touch up in another room. The paint turned a light gray. I have held ceiling paint many times before and much long in between use. Any ideas??

Yes I did stir the paint. It is the only two gallon paint can that there is and it says CEILING paint on the side of the can. Why it turned gray I really do not know? Only use new brushes and never put paint I did not use back in the container.

I would say the paint was not stirred well. It could have been the first time you used it or the second but one of those times it probably wasn't stirred well enough.
